The Cittador International Film Festival in Vienna is an annual two-day event presenting international, European and Austrian independent short films. Our Film Festival was created with the goal of showcasing and honoring emerging film talent, inspiring and entertaining audiences, as well as motivating filmmakers and inspiring film lovers. We aim to discover and highlight current cinematic themes and endeavors worldwide in short film. Therefore, we show films as a palette from all film genres, so that a comprehensive cinematic picture can be created for the film audience. It is important for us to hear the opinions of the filmmakers, to give a space for their thoughts and to share their visions with the audience through an interview. Our festival is addressed to all filmmaker who love inspirational, high quality, engaging, original, and imaginative short films like we do.
Cittador International Film Festival considers short films up to 30 minutes length.
The live cinema screenings of the winning films will take place at the beautiful Studiokino Lugner City in Vienna, Austria.

Each winning film will receive a short jury statement, which will be published on the Cittador Film Festival website and printed in the Film Festival Catalog. The jury statement can be used as a quotation for promotional purposes with the source reference.
FILM FESTIVAL CATALOG
The Cittador International Film Festival will publish a catalog containing: a) information about the selected and awarded films, b) interviews with filmmakers, c) a short statement by the jury about the awarded films. Since the information is already available on the Cittador International Film Festival website and will be included in the catalog. There is no free author’s copy of the catalog for the filmmakers of the selected and awarded films. The catalog is a document about the festival and serves as a record of the festival. The catalog can be purchased online.
Rules & Terms
The Cittador Film Festival accepts films in any language and from around the world up to 30 minutes in length. We have no film premiere or completion date requirements.
Films whose dialogue is not spoken in English must have English subtitles.
The submission fee is non-refundable. The film festival does not pay a fee for the screening of the winning films.
Only the films that have received a Film Award will be screened live in the cinema. Films that have received one of the Special Awards will not be screened. The live cinema screenings of the winning films will take place at the Studiokino Lugner City Vienna, Austria.

By submitting your film, you agree that the Cittador International Film Festival may use portions of your film (including trailers/teasers/film posters/film stills) for promotional purposes. By submitting to the Cittador International Film Festival, you agree to abide by all rules of the Film Festival and grant the Cittador International Film Festival unrestricted permission to screen the submitted film at the sole discretion of the festival. The festival has the right to refuse the film without giving any reason. The event date and location are subject to change.
